Run for Cover is a one day 3e McKinney 1, 5 & 10K walk / run to raise money for the Samaritan Inn (Collin County's only homeless shelter). All net proceeds from the event will go to The Samaritan Inn.
The race is through Stonebridge Ranch. The 5 and 10k courses are both fun, challenging and certified. The 1k will start before the 5 and 10k so you can run with your child and still compete in the 5K. There will be music, prizes and awards! The races will begin 10 minutes apart starting with the 1K at 8:00am. (1k, 10k, 5k)

Fees
1K - $15 (After April 10 the fee increases to $20)
5K and 10K - $20 (After April 10 the fee increases to $25)
Family 1K - $40 (After April 10 the fee increases to $50)
Family 5K - $50 (After April 10 the fee increases to $60)
There is no family pricing for the 10K
Awards
Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners in the 5 and 10k. Age group awards will be 5 year increments. Every participant in the 1k will receive a finishers medal.
Chip Timing
The race will be timed by Race Chip Timing. Chips will be picked up the morning of the race. The timing chip is to be worn around your ANKLE. If you do not wear the chip, you will not be timed. The chips will be collected by volunteers at the finish line. Race results can be found shortly after the race at racechiptiming.com
Parking
Parking will be available at the Beach Club and the YMCA. The YMCA is on Ridge Road just behind the Beach Club.
